Want the look and feel of granite without the cost and lead times?

Natural granite is a fantastic material for kitchens and bathrooms. Not only is it very tough, it's easy to clean. As with all good things there are drawbacks. Firstly granite is expensive (well it has taken millions of years to make!) and it needs to be templated and cut off-site, meaning longer fitting times - not ideal in a busy household. There are numerous alternatives to granite available and we've tried and fitted most of these. recently, we came across an alternative that we now offer as a genuine alternative to granite, Mistral by Karonia. This is a 25mm thick solid surface worktop that combines the beauty of natural stone and quartz with the creative freedom and practicalities of an acrylic-based material. Mistral has all the benefits of granite with the additional benefits of being able to be cut on-site, is about two-thirds of the cost and comes with a 10 years manufacturers warranty.

Take a look at the kitchen below we recently installed using Mistral worktops. We were able to cut the hob and sink on-site as well as the curved edge. This saved the happy client not only time but money as well.
